The Mystery Behind Pope Benedict’s Resignation, Pope Francis:

I honestly believe Pope Benedict was actually TOO holy and Godly a man to continue in such a corrupt position. Just my theory. But why else would a pope quit his job?
Because they have blackmail on him?
I don't know about that...at least I hadn't heard anything. No I think once he got in, and the "good ol' boys" started explaining things to him, he must have decided this wasn't for him. I just think he is actually a real man of God and wouldn't involve himself in such corruption. Again this is just my theory.
A holy man might be willing to die for such principles, just saying
No argument there. But he seemed pretty intelligent, and probably aware that if he tried to expose them, they'd probably silence him in some way that nobody would ever see the truth of.
I figure it may have been he got in and started looking at the books and they were like wow hey there, no need to be hasty there fella, how about we set up a nice retirement for you.

It's a really interesting discussion. No one knows 100% what's going on but I think we can get a good idea based on the information available. I think the best theory right now is that the deep state / deep church used their assets and pressured B16 to step away from the papacy. That by itself would make any resignation invalid.
However, if you read the text of the resignation itself B16 in the Latin text specifically resigns the "ministerium" or ministry which is more the actions associated with an office. In order for a resignation to be valid, he must resign the "munus" which can be the office or a charge or responsibility.
So Benedict gave a head-fake and never really resigned properly + he was forced out via fear / threats, and basically it means he is still the Pope and Francis is just another anti-pope in a long list of anti-popes. Francis is probably a child-trafficking/sacrificing satanists/freemason and is NOT CATHOLIC given the amount of blasphemy and heresy he spouts out. I think there is a really possibility (although I personally disagree) that Francis is the false-prophet-forerunner of the anti-Christ.
This is so funny because we have a mirror image in America with a fake President (Xiden) + real President (Trump) and a fake Pope (Francis) + real Pope (B16).
Think mirror?
Interesting thought. Like the 2 presidents prophecy.
Yeah I’m not catholic either so I don’t really understand the whole pope thing and the not getting married thing either. Even Peter had a wife and they say he is considered the first pope
**No offense to Catholics here **- but nobody can deny how much pedophilia exists within the priesthood, it's been documented pretty extensively - I can't help but think that if priests were allowed to marry, there wouldn't be as much scandal and child abuse involving them. Is there another sect of Christianity where the holy men are not allowed to marry? I know the pastor of my church is happily married with 4 kids, and one of my best friends' dad is a pastor, she's one of 5 kids, they not only marry but they multiply pretty well. And they seem happy. I've just never understood what the problem was with priests getting married either.
So basically a method to amass wealth
It doesn't - and I didn't know that at all - thank you for the history! :) Very interesting.
I believe it can be traced back to these two verses:
Matthew 16:18-19
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
If I'm not mistaken, this is the scripture where the Catholics believe Jesus gave Peter the role as first pope.
However, I think it is helpful to read the whole passage:
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[b] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[c] will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[d] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[e] loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
I believe the "rock" refers to Peter's faith. Christ will build his church on the rock of faith. I don't believe this has anything to do with Peter being named the first pope -- especially given that Peter, himself, never speaks of having or claiming such a role.
BTW, there is some word-play going on here. The meaning of "Peter" is "rock".
So, Peter has faith and the rock that the church will be built on is faith.
