This is just my intuition but what I sense is, Trump is in the middle of a fierce war for the entire future of humanity. In battles like that you simply can't afford to be goody good good to every Tom Dick & Harry. Yes he's trying to save humanity but he knows there will be costs. If Julian would have testified that would have saved Trump a lot & freed him up to do more important things instead of fight stupid impeachment trials He sent Giuliani to negotiate a deal with Assange. IDK exactly what of course but he probably would have given him a pardon if he would testify against this stupid Russian hoax.
Assange is a righteous truth telling journalist but he doesn't understand the art of war. He probably thought he should be pardoned with no conditions because that's only right. I understand his point & in one sense he's right but, come on, he has to realize the sort of tightrope walk Trump was in & should have agreed to whatever it is he asked
This is my assumption. Assange took the lofty high ground & probably didn't take Trump's offer of a pardon because he didn't want to promise to testify, or whatever it was. This is my 2 cents. The fact that he didn't, cost Trump a lot & cost the world a lot. I would bet Trump is upset at him.
