They are a government, defense, and commercial contractor. What do I do? I'm trying to leave my miserable job and this is the only one that I've have a shot at all year. I will never take that shot. I have the resources for current employment someone listed on here, but not for a NEW job.
sounds like you're in a technical career then?
Think of it this way, you have requirements, your employer has requirements.
If the Venn diagram of those requirements don't overlap and you know the employer can't/won't budge, you budge or you find a different career.
It's already clear that defense contractors won't hire and will indefinitely suspend those without pay who seek exemptions.
