It depends on where you are at in life. If you're suffering from too much negativity in life then it's best to not be around negative people.
But when you have found yourself, when you have found the light within and you stand firmly in this light, then one should engage with the negative people in the world and be an example to these negative people.
So what is your "Light"?
We all have a shadow within. This shadow consists of all of our suppressed negative emotions like anger, hate, shame and sadness. Jung talked about the shadow and Buddhists also talk about doing shadow work.
What we're all looking for in life, eternal peace and happiness can be found behind this shadow. When we integrate or dissolve this shadow, that's when we get close to what Buddhists call Enlightenment. And Enlightenment is what Christians refer to as the seed of Christ. It's just worded differently, but points at the same thing.
We are all a temporary expression of the eternal infinite consciousness field called God. And our link to God, the Light, can be found within, behind our shadow. We have our self-consciousness, our subconscious (which contains the shadow) and below that is the Higher Self or God.
if you ain't posting scripture to support what you are saying about this subject I have no interest.
With all due respect friend, that attitude doesn't sound very awakened.
