The one time in my life that I heard an angel speak to me audibly, I was 21 and traveling from Washington to Kansas with my car loaded down with boxes of my belongings and my two cats. I was somewhere in Idaho or Utah and I had a vase of oil in my car because I had an older car which leaked oil bad. My boyfriend at the time had tried to fix as he was a mechanic but told me to get oil for trip in case I needed. I saw a club ban pulled off the side of freeway with a bunch of teenagers I thought. Two were holding up signs that said ‘Need oil’. Just as I was about to pull off and offer some oil as I hadn’t used any, I heard an audible voice say my name and tell me “Don’t stop!” At the same time I felt the presence of two men in my front passenger seat that was loaded down with boxes of my things. I kept going and didn’t stop. This was in a mountainous area where a radio station would only come in occassionally. About two hours later, I picked up a news report on the radio that in the area I had just gone through which was near abandoned towns with ‘town closed’ signs at exits. The report said that police had just come across the remains if dismembered human babies and german shepherds believed to be part of ritual satanic sacrifices. That could easily have been me that fell victim. That was in 1991.
