It seems a lot of folks are making the assumption these CEO's are just losing their jobs.

We don't know what their fate is in the future. They probably don't know either.

One thing I do know when a corporation gets wind of a big shit storm coming over someone in a high position that someone "resigns". The corporation goes into damage control mode for it's own protection, and throwing the guilty to the wolves is a first strategy.

At this point we have no idea who applied the pressure or who they applied it to. It could be the individual or it could be the corporate board where pressure was applied. I would suspect the board was put on notice.
