I knew about the ban on u/TheQStrategy the first time around resulting in a ragequit and deletion of all material, but as u/Quelle I thought he was doing a great job.
What ran him off this time?

Well, I didn't want to call him out on it, but since OP did, I'll chime in.
I don't know.
But, I believe it's one of two scenarios:
IMO, the most logical reason. The kind of personality that engages in that kind of high volume, high engagement, high controversy content is also typically the type of personality to run into the same problems Icarus did. Sometimes that manifests as a public ragequit, other times as a quiet disappearance whether temporary or permanent.
Less likely (in this case, IMO), but possible. Identified as problematic by moderators for gradually sliding their posted content towards topics deemed unacceptably inflammatory. I'm sure OP is astute enough to Get What I'm Implying here.
Personally, I'm not making a judgement call on Quelle's posts. In fact, his post under QStrategy veered more into "forbidden subjects" than Quelle's did. That said, I'm sure if it's option #2 it's because moderators were keeping a closer eye on him than I was. I'm not a moderator, I don't eyeball anyone that closely, don't have the time.
But thanks OP, was just thinking about this the other day. For whatever his possible perceived faults, I learned a lot from his contributions.
Always be careful who you follow, as they say.
