I am fully aware these are different between the various Christian Bibles and what Darren Aronofsky was going with.
Aronofsky - in the scene I linked to - was showing the corrupt extent of man that God was looking to clense the world of. These were the men of Canaan while Noah was of Adam ~> Abraham ~> Moses ~> Seth ~> Enoch ~> Methuselah ~> Noah yes?
Obviously Aronofsky is a Jew and lends to the Talmud and other stories like The Book of Enoch which once again was my point to show as that interpretation is what The Synagogue of Satan ( Canaan ) is into.
Edit: also remember The Book of Enoch was Canon until Constantine at which time it was removed and many of the details of the Bible slimmed down.
I should get my hands on the book of enoch.
Aside from the movie. Which i did enjoy. I agree with what you originally posted too.

Honestly I get weary because I am curious if this stuff and as I read it - it’s concerning the specific things that were omitted.
You can see why some of it was … intense enough that maybe christians or otherwise deemed it would push more people away than it brought in? That maybe it needed to all be more low IQ?
In the end the message of The Bible came through and wasn’t changed ( Christ is the Messiah and live this way and know God as your Father ) - though for me and my path small things like knowing the Flood came not only to wash away Men - but the Spiritual Entities that were here as well ( The Watchers etc ).
Spiritual Warfare is a HUGE deal and Enoch walks that out flatly - Though the one thing that gets me - if the Flood wiped all Canaanites does that mean the ones claiming to be today are not truly so?
I too have the same question about the flood and the cannanites.
The bird at the top of Epstein’s temple sent me down that route.
