Nassau county can be "light blue". The GOP took 12 of the 18 supervisor offices open. Nassau DA and Suffolk DA will now also be republicans.

NY also voted against (in a 61/39 split) election propositions #1 - Against Changes to Redistricting Process, #2 Against Allowing the Legislature to Pass Same-Day Voter Registration and #4 Against Allowing Legislature to Pass No-Excuse Absentee Voting ... its something, but NYC always skews the NY red.
