since around yesterday there were reports by our company ISPs that there was an incident of fiber cable cutting impeding communications EU < - > US leading to traffic loss at least between US and EU aws regions. Something's going on?

No reports on subtel, or other undersea cable news from what i can see of a cut affecting underwater us traffic. The main news was Vietnam.
Showing a whopping 2 mil aircraft now, wtf.
There were stories a couple weeks ago about something similar, seems like it was framed as speculation but its entirely possible that it was a bit of predictive programming.. that all the idling container ships off CA with their anchors in the sea-floor would likely snag and damage fiber cables for internet connectivity.
Hopefully most of these ships are now enroute to TX, FL and anywhere else that doesnt have all the communist nonsense going on.
But maybe the cable damaging thing is happening on the east coast now, if more ships are headed that way.
