Just found out my 70ish father has stage 3 kidney disease. There are some things I’m finding online, but they tend to be vague “improve your lifestyle” and “see a doctor” type suggestions. We’re kinda avoiding hospitals for understandable reasons, but I want to know if there’s anything we’re not being told because of the stranglehold pharma has on medical recommendations. He is seeing his (trusted) doctor though.
Note: Nothing in this topic is to be taken as direct medical advice, but I want to know anything else that can be done.
Thanks!
Try Dr Robert Morse on the subject of fasting. Also Raw Vegan Rising. I also don’t trust the Doctors and big pharma, they don’t want to heal anyone, they want to ‘manage’ symptoms to keep you in their loop. Best of luck.
My buddy's mother in law was on dialasis and now she's off it. Turns out some of her meds were effecting kidney function.
Also my wife is in stage 3 kidney failure having rebounded from stage 4 because of mineral imbalances in her blood (high calcium for one). Doctor says many things can worsen the GFR number, but many people can remain at stage three for the rest of their lives.
Important to check ALL blood issues and limit protein intake.

Best wishes for your father. He's lucky to have you to help take care of his health; you're cautious approach to "official medical advice" is well founded.
Avoid NSAIDS. Drink lots of purified water. Take 1000mg of taurine and 1000mg of vitamin c per day. Take hot showers. Sleep under multiple blankets. Do a raw psyllium husk cleans too (this may have the best impact).
This will decrease the acid load of the uric acid/sodium urate buffer.

Thanks everyone for the posts and kind words. I'm going to mull these over
Did any of these work for you?
He seems a bit better, though I haven't seen his kidney test results. The whole family got sick recently though so we'll need that cleared up first before I know for sure
