We're talking about whole governments and millennia-old families and money. I agree with your point, but today's scale is soooooo much larger.

If we support the downfall of the perps in local and state affairs, we are cutting off the larger by increments. It has become much more than 6 degrees of late with local pockets of tyranny being destroyed at school boards and city councils..
