I think they want to steer the narrative away from the now numerous firsthand accounts of demonic energy and Satanic ritualism having been generated at the stage that night. So they're running with the narrative that multiple people were injected mysteriously when it was (from what I've uncovered thus far) just a single security guard who was reportedly injected from behind with opioids.
