Communism has never failed. It’s the lie that authoritarians tell the masses to gain there support.

If you want to install an authoritarian state, do you tell people they’ll be poor and hungry? No! You tell them what they want to hear. You say their work will be easier. They’ll have more of whatever they’re wanting. Their babushka will be taken good care of. You promise to be a benevolent dictator.

There are those who are in on the lie, and there are suckers who believe it.
