My younger brother caved and took the first dose this week after his employer mandated it about a month ago. He took Pfizer. He texted me about 24 hours later, said he made a mistake, he felt horrible, and his heart rate was all over the place. Said there is no way in hell he’s getting another dose. I checked in on him today (day 4 since Jab) and he feeling better, but still refusing to get any more jabs.
I’m a bit worried about him for the long haul. He’s a 31 yo runner, and Lord knows what will happen to him as he does marathons regularly. I encouraged him to take it easy for a while, but to not feel bad or stupid for doing what he thought he should, but to take care of himself and share his story with his co workers and friends.
And I know I’m preaching to the choir here.. but if you think these are extremely rare isolated incidents, you’re wrong. The media is just not covering all the adverse reactions. The shot is a risk not worth taking. The job you have is shit in compared to your life.
If his employer mandated it - then THEY are responsible. He needs to sue the everliving crap out of them now for any future health issues that he may (will) have for the rest of his life.
I hadn’t really thought about this in his particular case yet because I’ve been offering him support in other ways. But you are spot on.
