KJV is God's word to English speaking people. No coincidence he preserved it in English for a time when the whole world would be rushing to speak it.
The idea that his Word was lost over time is just stupid. If God can speak the world into existence and loves it enough to give his only Son as a ransom for the world's sins, how would he allow his Word to be lost? Why give your Son to then allow your ultimate gift to be hidden?
Satan caused Eve to sin by twisting God's words, and today Bible "scholars" sit around twisting God's words saying the same thing, "Hath God truly said...?". The only time Jesus rejoiced in the Bible was when God was making fools of the religious elite.
Typical KJV Bibliolatry. There is no perfect translation nor an official in the eyes of God. Some are good like the NKJV and KJV but the ESV is right there with them. Then, there are the worst of the worst like the NIV.
All translations have been corrupted in varying degrees. Those who think that men cannot corrupt anything and everything physical over thousands or hundreds of years are foolishly naive. Nothing physical can be 100% trusted. Those who actually know God know these things.
A Bible is a useful tool but it's not necessary to walk with God. Abraham proved that as well as others. The problem that I see with Christianity, as a whole, is that they'll worship anything but God.
Chris Pinto from Adullam Films has done a brilliant 3 part (so far) documentary where he gives compelling evidence to show that after the KJV was published, the Vatican launched the counter-reformation and using the Jesuits, forged the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus as a way to undermine the authority of the bible, since the KJV is translated from the Textus Receptus and the two former manuscripts are claimed to be older and therefore more authoritive, and the motto from the reformation was "Sola Scriptura", undermining the authority of the Pope.

The Bible says God preserves His Words and that His Word exceeds even His name in glory. The only way we have to know who God is is through his Words. Everything else is of this world or from our own minds and hearts, but the Bible says our hearts are deceitful and wicked and our minds are vain. "Knowing God" without the Bible is deluding yourself.
Self proclaimed "Christianity" as a whole today isn't born again and worship self created "Jesuses" and idols, so don't worry about what they're doing. Trust in the blood, get saved, and you'll only have to tolerate it for a few decades here. Otherwise you're stuck with them for an eternity in Hell.
The only way to get to know God is through the Bible? That's a lie from Hell. What about all the believers before Moses was given the law? It says that Abraham kept all of God's laws and statutes. If your theory is correct, then how is that possible?
No, dude, you need to know the Author first and foremost before you can understand the big picture of the book.
Adam had God's words, Noah had God's words, Abraham had God's words, Isaac had God's words, Jacob had God's words, even off in the Eastern world Job had God's words, Moses had God's words, and wrote them down so we all have God's words.
Some will never hear God's words but they still sin against their God-given consciences and the Bible says a conscience is enough to be held accountable. In the New Testament, God promises if someone has a heart to repent He'll bring the gospel to them.
However, the only 8 people who listened to God's words of likely billions escaped the flood, if that's any indication of how "Godly minded" people are. Bible is as available as porn today, we all know which people are more interested in.
So...No, dude, you need to know the book first and foremost before you can understand the big picture of the Author.
