In short: you worship Jesus. I follow him, like he said to.
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Matthew 28:9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Matthew 14:33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.
Your distinction doesn't exist in reality...just your doubt.
See again, this is what you Christians do when you happen upon someone who doesn't see the Bible as authoritative. You continue on in your discussions with them as if they are and they stare at you like you must have eaten paint chips for breakfast. You can cite any verse you want, friend. If I disagree with the verse, you haven't accomplished anything by saying "it's from the Bible." The Bible was written by men. And passed down by men, many of whom could have been under any number of different influences and carrying any number of motives. One needs a spirit of discernment at all times when reading any book. The Bible is no different. You might be able to ignore how many evil hands the Bible had to pass through to get to us, but I can't. If it doesn't resonate with my soul, it will fall flat no matter what the title of the book says.
Good luck to you though.
