Not everyone is a frontline warrior and your fury at this woman for not being one is rather telling. She was coerced into a medical procedure to keep her livelihood. She has every right to sue. Being coldhearted towards those just tryimg to live their lives is no way to win allies.
Look, I get your hardline reasoning and, to a degree outside this particular context, I agree with it.
The point is much simpler, however: Weak minded fools take it without any compunction, seeking virtue points and head-pats. Others of weak willpower feel pressured to do it under threat of losing their jobs. This is caving, yes, but under duress and pressure which is the exact definition of coercion. It's psychological torture to these people. Again, coercion; i.e. "Do this or else".
You see, under normal circumstances if not pressured and threatened (coercion) they may not have gotten the jab but, as stated, some just give in to bullies like they did in school. Others, like you and I, stand up to those bullies and as is often the case beat their ass for being a bully (at least I did this).
So, simpler terms: being threatened with an ultimatum to do something "or else" is the literal definition of coercion, full stop. It doesnt matter what your or my particular feelings on the matter are, it just is what it is.
