Well, you're thinking too deeply (for these people).

Their view (or at least the view of anyone that believes this stuff) is simply,

"Colin is against racism, and I'm not racist! Not-racist man good!"

"Guns are bad. Kyle shot BLM supporters! Racist guns are worse!".

When you try to explain it to these simpletons, their brains will not go past this thinking.
