It wasn't even normal crying, that was a panic attack, he was having an anxiety induced panic attack reliving those moments in his mind.
Back in college I had pretty bad anxiety and had panic attacks at least a couple of times (work load was rough and I was having insomnia, so one night I completely broke), and the way Kyle reacted is exactly like how my own panic attacks were.
You hyperventilate, you feel like you can't catch a single breath of oxygen and that makes your body spasm even more. Your brain immediately goes into a Red Alert mode where surviving is the main priority, so it does whatever it can to catch oxygen. The body has no time and no extra resources for tears, because it's not really crying, it's your body panicking. Tears are the last thing on the body's mind.
The fact that these idiots online are like "lawls iT's FaKe!! nO tEaRs!!!" That's because he's NOT CRYING, his body and mind are PANICKING and going through huge PTSD memories. Sometimes the body doesn't even produce tears when you cry, that's happened for me and many others. Some people can't even cry tears at all! It depends on the tear ducts. Heck, BABIES can't actually cry tears for the first few weeks of their lives! Does that mean that their cries are fake?
You know, seeing everyone's description of PTSD and how one reacts makes me wonder if I had it- or maybe grief makes you react in a similar way to PTSD when you think about it too hard.
