I don't know if finding out you were totally ignorant of the truth, when there was plenty of evidence of the truth at the time of the event, counts as having removed one's head from one's ass.
It was all over the news at the time, and even the liberal media couldn't hide everything from plain sight. All the online news outlets had video (for a little while anyway) that sane people were interpreting correctly, yet the liberal vitriol comments proved that they were stuck in their progressive bubble.
My youngest was considered an outspoken conservative in college. Not because she was outspoken, but because she was grounded in her faith and has a conservative viewpoint. She's quite adorable, and that kept her out of trouble most of the time. But she had a couple professors who hated her, and dropped her a grade or three to prove it. She got one of the grades changed by going to the dean and pointing out that something wasn't right. Being a straight A student in every other course (some much more difficult), made it a very compelling argument.

I believe this person just became aware of the progressive bubble she's in has been shielding her from reality.
The reason why she's calling it a progressive bubble and not communist propaganda is because she's "highly educated."
LOL. Sad, isn't it?
Highly educated, or highly indoctrinated? I have college degree, and I've seen both sides of it.
The indoctrination was bad in the 1990s when I attended college, but I presume it's gotten progressively worse over time.
There were no campus safe spaces, as an example.

So I'd say it hasn't gotten better.
