If corporations can send brand ambassadors, Trump can send his own ambassador to highlight his accomplishments. It would be a violation if he represented US foreign policy while not being authorized.

But I am on board with devolution, and don't expect problems from this.

I am all in on devolution as well. I refer to the Logan Act as a truth detector of Trump’s authority. Your other point is well taken though.
