Same, I'm not a fan (as of a couple of years ago certainly), but used to watch a few bits- this was one of my favourite bits and stuck with me, it seemed apt to illustrate the point! There are indeed comms in his films, Truman was one big comm.
Interesting character Carrey, I've heard equally good and horrendous things about him, I hedge on the likelihood he's tormented because he's inherently decent but, same as the others, he's done bad stuff to make it. Depending on which rumour is doing the rounds, very bad.
I guess you saw him on Fallon doing the all mocking tongue- I always wondered if that was a humiliation, a joke or a plea. Or a genuine thing, dunno.
On the first video, I read it as Carrey calling out the DS, and thumbing his nose at it. Fallon, knows exactly what the sign means, but is not willing to acknowledge it. I get the feeling Fallon wishes Carrey would just shut up about it.
I've seen the second video, but not with the extra graphics. I've been curious about the ark-shaped medulla. Fascinating! I'm not sure, though, that I can get onboard with the sex magic business. Seems more like wishful thinking, to me. Kek. Although, when you compare it against the [black hat] Catholic church and its celebate/not-so-celebate priesthood, it does give one pause. :-P
I heard once (word of mouth only) that celibate priests were that way because of a misinterpretation in latin- the word was celebrate, not celibate. I don't for one second think that's true, but I did have a chuckle at the thought of generations of abstinent priests finding out one day they could have been celebrating instead.
I think you're right about Fallon- there is comments in one of the videos suggesting the crowd noise had to be put in after- nobody quite knew whether to laugh or not. Awkward.
Maybe the sex magic theory is the reason the satanists do it- to pervert it. If it's something naturally sacred to save and preserve, that's why Crowley and others would build a ceremony around squandering the 'gift' in the most sacrilegious way possible. If indeed it is squandered- maybe (Abramovic) it is used.
Okay, let's try this again. I started to reply earlier this evening, then I accidentally wiped out everything I had written, sigh. Then, I spied some shiny things down rabbit holes and, well, you know the rest. Kek!
There's really no justification for priests to be celibate. The Jewish temple priests and rabbis were not and that was ok with God. (After all, one of God's very first commandments was, "be fruitful and multiply." Celibacy obviously goes against this.) In fact, there are scholars that would argue that Jesus must have been married, as it would have been so remarkable for a rabbi to not be married that it most certainly would have been mentioned in the Biblical texts.
The person who pretty much started the whole celibate thing was Paul, but even he said that only certain people were suited to it.

Hi fren, I tried to load the Vatican video and it won't play- tried several other sites but they all link to the same host. I'd be very interested if there's another way of finding it- I checked YT and a couple of others but no joy.
I've heard the same of Jesus and the likelihood he was married and agree, it does seem more likely due to practices at the time that it would more likely have been mentioned specifically if he wasn't married and accepted as standard that he would've been. The possibility of descendants is interesting.
While we are on a Biblical slant, I saw this posted the other day- it's not the sort of thing I usually read but I was inexplicably drawn to its 6 updoots. I'm very new to religion, it's always interested me as a subject, but never touched me personally- that's changed quite a bit recently. I digress.. The Book of Enoch I read recently when someone here gave a link, I found it very interesting and for some reason it resonated.
This was from 2017 originally and links the Canary Islands (La Palma volcano) with the Seven Burning Mountains.

I enjoyed it, but I am a knowledge desert when it comes to the Bible (hoping to change that), I'd be interested to hear your thoughts fren.
