After my computer received an automatic virus vaccine update last night, I am unable to access large swaths of the internet that I usually access.
Including,
- YouTube
- Guilded
- DownDetector
- Any other Google service including search
- Discord
- Fandom/Wikia
- Wikipedia
- DuckDuckGo
- Rumble
- Gab
And a ton of other websites. But I can access only this particular website just fine. WTF is going on?
Everything works on my phone. But I can't figure out what is wrong with my connection since everything pings just fine.
Sorry to ask this, but have you tried rebooting? It truly does fix 90% of problems if you are running the Windows operating system.
Another thing to try is to make your phone create a wireless hotspot, then connect your computer to that and see if you still have problems. Then you are using the cell network instead of your home ISP.
Nothing was fixed after reboot.
Hmm. Do you use a VPN to do work stuff perhaps? I know that can make visiting websites fail because your computer can't tell which network to send packets to.
Are you connected to your home network using a cable or via WiFi?
