The reason is if these conpanies paid for t.v. ads (like they do most of their drugs) themselves they would have to list their potential side effects in the ad... like every pharma ad on t.v.
They get around it because when the Fed, a municipality, or any 3rd party is advertising a medicine they AREN'T required to list side effects.
It is also possible that advertising of non-approved products in not allowed. Plus, why would you need to advertise if governments are forcing your product on everybody?
Edit: I forgot the biggest reason it doesn't surprise me that I don't see these ads on TV -- I don't watch TV.
If they market, they must divulge all ingredients.
Why pay for a 30 second time slot on nbc when you can just have the federal government force the citizens to take it.
Advertisements are for voluntary purchasers.
Even the insert that the pharmacy gets with the vaccine is blank.
Can't advertise pharmaceuticals under EUA.
