Can your "friend" possibly decode this for us? At this point I wouldn't be surprised to learn that article and all the RFCs mentioned within are actually coded instructions.
That's astounding, and above my pay grade unfortunately. Very strange information, apparently last edited by someone called "PigeonLover22". I also would not be surprised that what you're suspicious of is true.
Full disclosure since you went Real World here (thanks), the reason I asked for a friend is because my connection to "Internet of Birds" is based upon a series of "silly" comms I'm suspicious exist on the show 30 Rock. I felt self conscious directly stating it in this particular, big brain thread, but the phrase "Internet of Birds" is used twice as a non sequitur in show. It lies alongside more obvious Qlues such as a brief, cut away to an in-show SNL type skit featuring a chef simply saying "and this is what the inside of a child's face feels like" while holding up a cut of beef to an Oprah impersonator.
Among many very obvious WTF "jokes" the Internet of Birds struck me as particularly oblique, and then low and behold this thread appeared.
Did not know this, thanks.
Would one, speaking code, perhaps call this an "Internet of Birds"? Asking for a friend.

Stranger and stranger.
Thanks again.
Bird is another term for satellite, goes back decades.
Thanks.
