Federal CMS is withholding payments to hospitals that are not mandating the vax. Anyone else seeing this among their local hospitals, particularly when the hospital had previously taken a no-mandated-jab stance?
It is outright extortion. This is federal overreach, and I hope hospital administrators band together in a lawsuit.
Edit: CMS is Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) https://www.cms.gov/
Gonna write in caps so everyone will notice b/c this is my only social media and my only safe place to be heard . . . DECEMBER 4 - 1ST VAX IS DUE. That allows time to be “fully vax’d” by JAN 4. Then there will be a national outbreak of Covid if this is across the country and not just Louisiana. Pls pray that God intervenes! And CMS has been doing this type of extortion for a long time now. Penalizing hospitals based upon employee flu vaccination rate. Before Covid I had read that we were very close to no flu vax no job. Also, as I’ve pointed out everywhere that I’ve posted remarks, CMS is deeply embedded with Big Pharma!
I don't see where he has the right to mandate anything for Medicare or Medicaid! He walking on thin ice doing this! I pay into Medicare right out of my Social Security, so it shouldn't be mandated at all! Screw him and his Communist minions! We paid into this system all our working lives!
A constitutional violation is a constitutional violation no matter who commits the violation, right?
That is beyond sane, and well into "Evil."
Also: There are too many 3-letter acronyms for me to keep up.
What is CMS?
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Since those are the 2 biggest insurances in the USA, Biden admin pushed them for the jab mandate. However, it has a Jan 4th date. Not sure why they are pushing this on their staff just yet. There are may hospitals, care facilities, clinics, doctors office, treatment facilities etc who will fall under this mandate because it is usually like 75-90 % of its revenue. Unfortunately, currently it doesn't fall under the OSHA mandate that is stayed from the court. I am hoping some entity sues in court but haven't found it yet.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. They basically set insurance payor policy.
Sorry... Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

Same here. I already have a religious exemption at one hospital I work at (who was already mandating it). Another hospital I’m a contract RN at just announced the mandate (previously had none). Same dates mentioned by others. Supposedly they’ve suggested calling in the state guard to make up for all the employment loss they’re expecting. A near consensus of those on my unit are saying they won’t get it/will quit but sadly that happened at my other hospital and many ended up “just getting it”. But these people are quite a bit more rural so...I think they actually have some balls.
