We are "God seeking" creatures, with free will. It is our ignorance of God that leads us to seek "god" in ourselves or in lesser entities. GETTING TO KNOW GOD is among our highest privileges (He really wants us to know Him - intimately) and leads to right relationship with our Creator (the One who knows us - thoroughly - and LOVES us, anyway).
