This was the best part of my entire trip to Las Vegas... Ventriloquist extraordinaire (and terrific singer!) "America's Got Talent" winner TERRY FATOR wrapped up his show by singing (straight into the mic without puppets) our beloved POTUS' rally intro song: "God Bless the USA". It was glorious! Most of the crowd stood up and joined in singing (quite a few Texans there, I noticed).
Before he started singing this song, he asked all the military and law enforcement people in the audience to stand up and we gave them a round of applause. I was so choked up and teary-eyed throughout the whole thing - in a GOOD way.
Please pardon the camera shake and odd placement while I was raising my hands trying to get people to stand up and join in. Fator is also pretty washed out from the spotlights as I was up close and the lights were really bright. It doesn't take away from his wonderful voice and the inspirational moment though. :-)
It was such a beautiful thing - had to share!
You must have lived in Vegas when it was still awesome. My (very cool) parents took me to Vegas for my 18th birthday and they told everyone I was "of age" at our hotel (The Desert Inn - back when it was great) so I could gamble and go to the semi-naughty shows - LOL!
I'll never forget, I wanted to see the Chippendales dancer guys for my b-day outing. One of the stripper guys came over for my b-day and did a little dancing on our table, which shook it and spilled a cocktail all over my dad's clothes. He was NOT amused, but I was - haha!
