I'm disabled and have my tv on 24/7. I thought I was the only one who noticed this as many are turning away from tv now. I wonder if it's racial/gender 'equity' in commercials. I don't care if the actors are purple, but there has been, to me, a noticeable difference and many, many more biracial couples and same sex couples used as well. Then again, maybe it's just a reflection of real life as it is today. One thing I do take issue with is the 'need' to promote females in what are traditionally male roles....at the expense of males. Men are getting a bad rap and I don't like it. As a single mom who raised three sons, I don't need masculinity to be down played just because I learned to change the thermocouple on the furnace.

LOL...why, the tv too loud or you need your thermocouple repaired? :)
