More importantly, $10,000.00 pillows are not a thing. But here is the economic case found under supply and demand that fits the bill: There are 7.5B people on the planet, which the powers that be have determined is oversupply, and the demand for said supply is steady but just not as great; hence, why you can buy a person for $10,000.00. Nevertheless, you are right it is pretty damn cheap when you factor in capture, sustenance, marketing, and transportation costs.
Good economic breakdown. Saved me the time of explaining volume vs boutique pricing. Apparently even the child traffickers realize high turnover > sitting on inventory.
