What happened in 1973?
Nixon was President. Spire Agnew was VP. Agnew was investigated on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, bribery, extortion and tax fraud from time as Maryland Governor. Agnew resigns.
Nixon then has to nominate someone who will receive House and Senate confirmation. Enter Gerald Ford.
Ford is sworn in as VP. The deep state hangs Watergate on Nixon and forces his resignation at threat of impeachment. (Remember Hillary’s role in this investigation?)
President Ford considers multiple people for his VP: Donald Rumsfeld, George H W Bush, Nelson Rockefeller. Settles on Rockefeller.
In pop culture, ABBA is topping charts in various countries during this time, along with their new album and hit title track, Waterloo (reminiscent of Battle of Waterloo and Napoleon’s loss and resignation). Notable line from Waterloo: “ The history book on the shelf Is always repeating itself.”
Do you love ABBA? John McCain did. His favorite song was said to be “Dancing Queen,” which also played recently (and oddly?) at Colin Powell’s funeral - who also was a big ABBA fan.
Are you following ABBA’s new album and reunion tour, “Voyage?” Will you buy a ticket to watch their virtual ABBA-taur’s perform?
History repeats.
Well that would be cool if it where holograms or animatronics or both. I'd buy a ticket to that. No offense but I don't even want to see Jimmy Page in anything other than an old interview or speech he gave on a campus when he was old then. Again, depressing, lol.
Sir Paul can still sing (not like he used to) but yeah, wrinkle man should be his next big hit. lol
I got to see Ronnie James Dio in the Black Sabbath Heaven and hell tour, it was his second to last performance before he cancelled the tour after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Sad, but that dude and the whole band had such power coming off that stage that it was hard to believe it was old geezers.
thats NOT paul
