"Whoops, it appears you are doing too many searches"

"Your search has been fact checked as false."

I was watching a few videos and reading threads that suggest Google's search results are faked.

Let me explain:

1. You Google a term and Google says "There are 100M results. Here are the first 10 on Page 1."

2. Google is usually very good at getting you to where you want to go. So, Page 1 is usually sufficient. But, just in case Pages 2-30 are also on point. 30 pages at 10 results each = 300 results.

3. Around Page 30, the results begin to diminish to the point of reaching the end. The original 100M results is now "300 results". Google then tells you at the end, " We've omitted the rest because they are very similar to what you have already seen in the results."

So Google's deception is three fold:

A. It knows its algorithm is very good - and knows that you will find something on point in those first 30 pages. So, you won't bother to look behind the curtain. If you don't find what you're looking for, you'll assume the problem is you.

B. It tells you it found "hundreds of millions" of results to broadcast how awesome its search engine is. Don't doubt me on this. Google delivers the "millions" of results and tells you how quickly it managed to get them to you. That is an act of subtle boasting to make you believe you are dealing with the "best."

C. If you are one of the select few who do make it to the end of their search results, Google tells you "we omitted the remaining results because they are similar to what we've already provided."

That leaves us with these questions:

• Is the initial result (100M) even true - or just a boastful place-filler?
• If the result is true, why does Google act as a major Gatekeeper to that info?
• If Google is acting as a Gatekeeper for 99.9% of the results, then isn't it effectively making the internet its own guided tour to its preferred results?

Something definitely worth pondering.
