Bush was elected as Reagan's 3rd term but quickly unpopular and lost public support so the DS switched horses to new & fresh Bill Clinton for '92. Agenda was back on track and the 90s boomed. Anyone in the workface was able to build a lifestyle they would fight to keep. If you got into the NYC-DC tiers you'd fight even harder as the perks & pay were way better. And that's what we're dealing with now. While lifestyles cratered for average Americans they have not for the political, financial, or media classes. They will not let go of the hold they have.
