Lucifer becomes Satan, Satan just means adversary and Lucifer is the adversary of God hence Satan is just a title of the fallen Lucifer. My interpretation is God is the devil and devil is God. As are we. It's symbolism and it just means people with conflicting views having wars and fighting for control. The bringer of light that illuminated the darkness and brought technology becomes adversary of a government regime that keeps people ignorant like with today and in the past throughout history. Fall from grace is basically a noble or something committed treason helping the peasants going against government possibly creating revolution.
