The most pathetic and demoralizing reason I have heard for getting the shot is from a friend of mine: He said he wanted to be able to go eat his favorite omelet in a restaurant he is particularly fond of.

My husband did it to stop wearing a mask at work. They brought masks back for the vaccinated less than a month after he got it.
