It is always routine for the sitting POTUS to transfer power (for a predetermine amount of time) to VPOTUS. Especially when undergoing anesthesia for what is, or should be, routine procedures like a colonoscopy. Whoever here has had one should know that they're done under anesthesia. I mean, who wants to see the inside of their poop chute?
