It's Oregon. If you haven't been there the very liberal parts of Oregon are like a different country. Their cultural and value system is completely different. I had a family member from Liberal Oregon that had married in. For years I just thought that that person (sorry don't want to dox) was insane. Then I went to visit a very blue city in Oregon and I got my explanation. Culture completely different, ideals very different, and they aren't modest or quiet about it they are loud loud loud about it.

I would have thought of Grants Pass as in the redneck category though. Logging and hunting have always been big. Not a very sophisticated place for the most part.

Yeah but they sort of self segregate so the blue cities, are full of gluten free, we feed our cats vegetarian food types. If you leave those cities the remainder is pretty normal.
