Oh that's messed up. I'm so glad I never wanted anything to do with the lifestyles of the rich and famous.
Her mother allowed Roman Polanski, a well-known and well-respected director at that point, to photograph her 13-year-old daughter, as he had in the past without incident. She might have been guilty of naivete, but she didn't willingly supply her to a known pedophile. When the girl got home that night and her mother found out what had happened, she immediately called the police and they pressed charges.
