Yeah, the US government can't use Bitcoin as a reserve currency because China owns most of it. The US government usually aligns itself with US born companies (like IBM) and XRP came out maybe 2-3 years after Bitcoin so it's been around for a while and is probably a safe bet.
Currently the SEC and Ripple are in a lawsuit, which has uncovered the fact that the SEC gave Bitcoin and Ethereum legal clarity and then the people who did that bunny hopped to an Ethereum company.
Through this case you might see Ethereum's crypto status pulled where XRP will be given the go ahead to be a crypto and then boom the banks will switch over to XRP from SWIFT. The government will also peg XRP to the price of gold.
People think the NSA may have created Bitcoin and the CTO of Ripple is David Schwartz who used to contract for the NSA...
Here\s what he looks like:
https://cryptogazette.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/David-Schwartz.jpg
Basically he's your accountant merged with a computer scientist.
Basically the NSA created Bitcoin to kill the fed. Bitcoin and XLM and XRP are ones to watch for.
XRP has spun off its own version of Ethereum smart contracts, it's call Flare. So when Ethereum is in court they\re going to gain on them so hard and Ethereum already has scaling issues and flare is built on XRP which does 3 second transfers (Bitcoin and Ethereum don't)
There's a standard the bank want follow for cryptos called ISO 20022. There's a handful of cryptos that have this standard.
check out page MOTHERFUCKING 17 in this guide to see which ones they are:
https://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_Getting_Started_Cryptocurrency_2021.pdf
None of them are encoded in SHA-256.
These are:
https://coinmarketcap.com/view/sha-256/
SHA-256 is a set of cryptographic hash functions designed by the United States National Security Agency (NSA)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA-2
So the NSA probably has the master code to break anything encoded with it, because, well they built the shit.
So at any time they could probably pull the rug out of any coin on this list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA-2
and sink that whole side of the market while only the ISO 20022 coins survive.
I could go on and on but look at this but you're probably bored...
i tried looking on coinbase but it says xrp isnt "tradeable"??
Yeah because of the SEC lawsuit. You're not able to buy it out side of the united states.
Try https://www.etoro.com/ or https://www.kraken.com/en-us/ or https://www.bitstamp.net/ or you can buy whatever from coinbase and exchange it for XRP using something like https://changelly.com/ but you'll have to send it somewhere so you may need something like https://xumm.app/
but at the end of the day you should have a hardware wallet like https://shop.ledger.com/products/ledger-nano-s
XRP uses have been getting air drops just for holding XRP. Christmas eve they're all getting free Sologenic (SOLO) tokens.
Unfortunately you've missed the other drops for Flare and Songbird.

But to take advantage of drops, you should get a hardware wallet. If you keep your coins on an exchange, they're not really yours.
Songbird is pretty cool, you can delegate it for more for passive income.
You can follow what's going on in the lawsuit by subscribing to this guy:
