The US Navy ordered a safety stand-down for the entire submarine force on Wednesday in response to the results of an investigation into an incident last month in the South China Sea.

they have been relieved of command. actually getting fired would mean being discharged. the press should stay away from the phrase of being fired in the military. it confuses so many people.
