For about a year my fiance and I have been taking one of those vitamin covid protocols, to be exact, I think it was one that Dr. Zelenko promoted. Basically, quercetin, zink, Nac, VItamin D, Vitamin C, and a couple others every night. Anyone else that takes those get acid reflux? We definitely dont have covid and definitely are not sick but we seem to have a little cough caused by the acid reflux.. I do drink way to many energy drinks, so I am sure that isnt helping 🙃... but anyone else? Thanks

Top comment nailed it. Ex-energy drink chugger, cut them out my fren. You will survive the caffeine withdrawal.
I wouldn't say, stop energy drinks. Definitely time them separately.
After about six months of the zinc and quercetin the doctor told me zinc was likely causing my heartburn/indigestion. I had to dial it back to a couple times a week.
I will try the vinegar and also maybe cut back on the zinc.
Drink a swig of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. Burns like hell for 10 seconds then works like a charm. Shake up the bottle to get the "mother" mixed in, it is good for digestive track too. Be sure to swish your mouth out after with clean water, the vinegar is acidic and can harm your teeth.
That stuff cures everything. I pour some of that, some fresh lemon juice, and some sea salt in a glass and fill up with water and chug in the morning.
Thanks for all the advice and Tips all... This is Way better then Fakebook and Google.
you might try a different formulation of Zinc. Picolinate and Orotate are usually better tolerated. ditto the other's advice re: morning with food, etc.
Try not to drink any liquids right before, during, or right after eating meals. That should help!
I've had acid reflux flare ups for over 20 years, and have never heard of reflux developing into or causing a cough.
General ways to mitigate flare-ups:
First and foremost, lower your sugar intake. Seriously. Sugary sweets, and especially drinks are generally not good for you, but probably the biggest contributor to reflux.
Secondly: Don't overeat. Overeating fills the stomach and pushes the acid up your esophagus.
Finally, lower the acidity of what you're eating/drinking (switch to tea from coffee, etc., etc.). A lot of vitamins can be acidic, so you want to have them with fatty food. If you're not a big meat eater, you can liberally dress a salad in olive oil. But breads and other sugars can make it worse, so do a little research into macronutrients and pH balances.
Went zero carbs.....and fixed this for me.
Its the sugar causing all the chronic illness that pharmas wanna sell u lifelong pills for.
Quercetin has always given me heartburn. I have to be careful when I take it.
Tums...and sleep on your left side
But I snore less on my right side
Maybe the vitamin c is reacting badly with the energy drinks? Also, natural remedy for acid reflux: tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Burns going down, but it relieves the acid burning for me.
I dilute my apple cider vinegar with water and it's easy to take.
Good idea, but I don't know if it works as well without the burn, lol.
Stop all the energy drinks-high sugar. Cancer thrives on sugar. Eat healthily-no fast food, no added sugar. Just eat well, good BMI and use the supplements.
I'd also recommend no energy drinks of any kind. Drink coffee for the caffeine, if you need it. Coffee is so much better for your health. I take vitamin D and Zinc about every third day. Try scaling down to every other day and check if you even notice a difference. Energy drinks are loaded with bunk vitamins too, and you're just being overloaded.
Take with food a couple hours before you go to bed, try and sleep on your left side so your stomach doesn't dump back into your esophagus. Has worked for me for years.
This may sound crazy but my wife has had acid reflex for years. 10 years easy. Her go to has always been dill pickle juice. Just sipping on it a few times a night. Until recently, maybe a year now, she’s been using those mints by Smart Mouth.

She’ll suck one one, maybe two a night and boom gone. It’s pretty amazing. I rarely get acid reflux, the dill pickle juice did work, but these mints...as I was skeptical, work amazingly fast. We got boxes of them now.
I've also read if you have had your gall bladder out you should be taking OX Bile tabs daily
Yes, same exact thing. Never had acid reflux in my life until now.
I know, for me, that I need to eat something when I take a zinc.
Try potato bread and Roma tomatoes
that... makes no sense...
It makes sense in that the acid's purpose is to digest food, much of which expands as it is digested. If there is too little acidity, this part of digestion is slowed and the substances have a chance to overfill the stomach (upward). With enough acid, they dissolve and move down.
I guess that makes sense actually
