Well it appears that I am, since there seems to be a signifiicant number of people in the comments who agree with me.

It's okay to admit when you are wrong. It doesn't negate the correct things you've said in the past. It just means that in this particular instance, you were incorrect, and that's okay! It doesn't make you any less valuable than you are right now.
