Ultimately, though, it is still the parents' choice. With freedom comes great responsibility, with the emphasis on responsibility. This isn't a nanny state. You're free to make stupid, horrible decisions. You're also free to pay the consequences for your stupid, horrible decisions. There is no free lunch here.
