A few drops of oregano oil in a nasal saline spray does a great job of stopping it in its tracks.

Both work. Including it with the saline spray is more effective since you target the most vulnerable cells namely at the back of the nose. Personally I use water or a carrier oil for general health as I find the essential oil too strong.

I would think elderberry might help also as it is a natural remedy for cold and flu and boosts immune system
