For the first time in my life I am finally addressing my same sex attraction. I am on the path to a Godly recovery, I know its not going to be easy. This is why I am asking for prayer. Whatever you feel like praying, please do. Strength, courage, accountability, or whatever encouragement you can send my way. I love this community and I have an awesome people in the Church that are walking along side of me. Love you all, wish me luck, the path is narrow and hard to stay on but I do not want to keep falling to this sin nature I am struggling with. Thanks for reading and/or praying over me.

God loves a repentant sinner more than he loves the pious among us.
May you have clarity moving forward in your life and struggles, but never think that God has made a mistake in making you. I too am gay and it did cause much grief in my life. I think that this will serve as a lesson to those unaware how easy it is for satan to dissuade us from the natural, though with all of those asking for population control I cannot see it as more than a blessing in disguise. the Fathers forgiveness is infinite, so never be ashamed to ask for it and he will be thrilled that you have.
It is those that only seek pleasure for themselves that I feel God has laid the real burden on. Satan will do all that he can to turn us from God. Remember the man crucified alongside Christ. Recall that none are worthy of the blessing of forgiveness that God has bestowed on the world through his Son Jesus Christ, and know that he gives it freely to those that ask, through his everlasting Grace. We are called to not act on the urges of the flesh, so you are no worse off than a heterosexual sinner as all sin is equal in the eyes of the Father. Do your very best to remain fixated on Christ and never feel ashamed to go to Christ when/if you falter. Though you should just go to him anyway, ask him how his day is going and what not. God Created Adam above the angels, Satan being the highest angle refused to serve man, as God had intended disobeying the Will of God has bad consequences and the Father can use a sinner just as much as he can the Righteous. I feel like he gets more bang for his buck when he uses sinners though, they tend to have a larger following.
Had to add, Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the only sin that CANNOT be forgiven.
