You should've seen the barracks I was first housed in during "A" School @ NATTC Millington, TN. The quad literally had posted signs from the EPA, OSHA, AND NAVOSH saying they were condemned due to asbestos laden floor/ceiling tiles, leaded window sills and lead paint. And I loved there for over a month. Not just m, but everyone going to an "A" School longer than 2 mths was houses there for the 1st mth. Idiots would move the ceiling tiles around to hide liquor and other "contraband."
And guess what? Somehow, the paperwork they had me sign acknowledging the exposure had been purged from BOTH my Service Record AND my Naval Medical Record by the time I left service 9 yrs later. I don't even want to know if the water there was ever contaminated.
