I've checked on here from time to time but I was dealing with a lot of things in my personal life and didn't feel I was good to contribute during that time. I'll just say that it was the darkest of times in my life but that is all in the past and I'm back 100% again.
This post is not entirely GAW directed but I do feel that it is important because we can't just resign ourselves to looking at everyone as nothing more than screen names on a website.
I'm posting this to see how everyone is doing in their lives. We don't have to know each other personally to uplift one another or spread important information. Also, one of the most important things I've always felt is to remind everyone that they are not alone in this fight.
Welcome back! Times are trying. This place, GA, is sometimes a consolation, sometimes an inspiration, sometimes a newsfeed (sometimes a spammy one... especially compared to last year), and a discussion and research board. It's grown.
Always a human place, as we haven't let the bots or shills get settled here. Mods have kept it good, even if folks complain it's not perfect. The soul thrives here.
Glad you made it through your own dark journey and came out again. Welcome back; get your comfy Pepe slippers and make yourself at home.
Yes, it was full of lies and betrayal but I don't share details because I know millions of people have their share of bad things happen in life. I dealt with mine and came out on the other end in good shape. The entire ordeal did offer me a new perspective on some things that I never gave much thought to previously.
The mods are simply doing what they're supposed to be doing. If they don't keep this place cleaned up then there would one day be a risk of this place no longer existing. We are not a bought and paid for liberal echo chamber so we do not have the same luxuries some websites have.
Unlike most websites, this website is not driven by money, greed, nor power but simply driven by freedom and the ability to share honest information. There are some people that cannot be saved, pulled from their own darkness and unfortunately that has to be accepted.
There are some people that simply do not care about other humans, they don't care about animals, they don't care about this planet we're living on, but instead they only care about what will make their own personal lives more enjoyable and those people may never truly be brought into the light from the darkness.
The best that we can truly do is to help those that want to be helped and those people can then help others and let the ripple effect go as far as possible. It's been a few years since anyone in my family had any get togethers but that has changed for the better.
There will always be some that choose to be absent and that is their choice. Some people may think they're strong and never will need any type of support from others but those people are simply foolilng themselves. Even people like Trump and Flynn seek support from friends and family and even people they don't know.
One big problem with society is that far too many people have become very selfish and self centered. Far too many people believe that they do not need anyone for anything and while that can be true that we can survive in life without help from anyone, it's not financial help that people can do without but rather it's moral support, emotional support, even mental support.
If I wanted to, I could keep myself busy all the time and never take time to sit and relax and reflect on anything but we are social creatures and by nature and more people need to embrace that.
