Forbidden from the masses it is pushed in closed societies as a means of blackmail if you goof up, it was bound to be tried outside of the conventional avenues when those that liked it were unable to get it from their traditional sources and spread. Having said that I can only recall one time that Jesus addressed homosexuality, claiming it to be an abomination. I bring this up to offer a parallel to what I see Jesus as fighting in his time and the beast that we are up against now, the slave state. Currently you are consider dead/lost at sea by your own government and they trade you as collateral because if you are dead you cannot object. This gets deep but almost anything promoting common law suggests this, it is worth a google. If you are considered property by the state from birth and they receive money from your existence there would be a huge benefit in having you produce offspring, and making money from your children, and being homosexual you are highly unlikely to do such unless you are fearful of what others might think of you/ fearful for your life. It seems to me to be highly likely that the stigma regarding homosexuality is simply that of Man wanting to ensure his chattel will continue to make him prosperous. I believe this to be the slave state that Christ was fighting against. Had he said anything contrary to homosexuality being an abomination he would have been killed on the spot, it was not yet his time. Most references in the Bible seem, to me anyway, point to sexual immorality as a whole and do not mention homosexuality specifically. There is much room for debate here and it isn't new to debate it. Prior to Christ all were considered to be under the laws of man, SLAVERY. Christ is said to have freed us of that slavery. God seems more interested in making sure that we aren't a bunch of pleasure seeking heathens than anything else because that opens the door to countless sins.
I must also add that I kind of see homosexuality as an answered prayer to all of those calling for population control. We are certainly not helping to overpopulate the Earth in any way.
There are many times that God said to go forth and multiply, but he was talking to specific people, people that God wished to Father nations. I do not feel that this applies to everyone that reads the Bible or believes in God, but I am man and do not know the will of the Father.
It’s amazing that we’re bombarded with the “born that way” narrative. The human genome is mapped and there is no indication that there is a gene (or collection of genes) that causes homosexuality. From what I can tell, most sexuality is learned behaviour. You can’t tell me that someone is born being a “furry” or having a similar sexual inclination. There is clearly no genetic marker for this or any sexual preference.
Think back to the modesty of the Victorian era where they covered the legs on their sofas because it was deemed too risqué. Those men would probably get off to an exposed shoulder. Whereas being raised in 21st century western society and I’ve got to flip through a half dozen pages of fit 24 year old blondes to find something to get me off.
And they’re intentionally pushing it further and further. They’re clearly trying to normalize incest with all the step-family porn right now. It’s sick and they want to attack anyone who questions it.
I think mostly all sexual deviations have to do with things we perceive during our development. This has been discussed at length in the medical field, mostly about certain fetishes, and it seems like those preferences have to do with certain stimulating experiences we have as children that leave a lasting impact on our developing minds
Now, most of these are fetishes, not just same sex attraction, but I'm sure that it has something to do with it. Often times it happens to children who are victims of sexual abuse. Those highly emotional and traumatic moments we have as children do manifest into our sexual development, and many homosexuals have been molested in their past.
Or as you said, it's just through exposing our brains to more and more depravity. Next thing you know, you're looking at weird furry incest rape fantasies instead of being able to get off to vanilla intercourse
Agreed, it is likely that those disposed to such activity at a young age have simply been imprinted with that behavior on a subconscious level. It might serve to depopulate a population that might be deemed undesirable by an outside force, which is why I assume that it is being promoted so heavily right now. How one can be prideful about what they do with their dick, I will never understand.
I do not know if being more or less exposed to risqué situations would actually have an effect on how easily one could get off, I do not think that they were blasting in their pants after accidentally seeing an ankle. I feel a lot of that stemmed from the ability to cover everything up and it being used as a class symbol later being adopted by the puritans as a way to enforce their strict policies. It would have also been impossible for any of the societies to survive with the birth rate that we see today, though they are largely chipping away at that daily. I do think that having a near endless opportunity to see such things would create an opportunity to desensitize what one finds as attractive and would lend to one needing more and more as it is simply a dopamine response (gateway drug), easy to get addicted, that would fire off with each new image or situation. The more you use the more you need. I myself have had an issue with pornography and it has made it difficult for me to imagine such situations without "help" though I see this as a win because now my mind has trouble seeing such things and we are meant to keep our minds clean. Desensitization isn't always bad and may actually aid with those with addiction problems if we can learn how to use it correctly (we do not). Either way, homosexuality exists. According to the Bible there is nothing new under the Sun so it isn't a new newfangled confounding situation as often described, same with incest (it was all the rage with some of the old royals, so they say).
