Because all practitioners of Islam are charged with living & practicing Islam exactly as Mohammed did. To live as Mohammed did is to practice Islam correctly. Mohammed’s life during the 7th Century is first of all violent, second owning slaves is acceptable, child sexual abuse is acceptable, lying is acceptable, killing non-believers is acceptable, invading other countries is acceptable, generally Islam’s 7th Century values are unacceptable in the 21st Century.
